BIOGRAPHY

ELEE SMITH , a native Texan, was raised on a working ranch near Palmer, Texas. There he garnered a love of the land and learned horsemanship and hunting. He studied art while attending Angelina College and Sam Houston State University before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

 

Mr. Smith has enjoyed acting, directing, writing and designing for the theatre & film industries for many years. In the field of visual arts ELEE produces works in the following mediums: oil and acrylic paints, watercolor, graphite, charcoal and pen & ink. After devoting more than two decades to teaching visual art he has chosen to focus full-time on his creations.

The artist still lives in Texas and has been married to the love of his life, Lisa, for nearly 40 years, and they have four children.
